ITS moves into the Radisson Hotel Group

ITS-hospitality division supplies all the Karcher house keeping equipment to the Radisson Blu hotel in Port Elizabeth and Raddison Hotel Sandton.

ITS set to clean up Walvis Bay bulk loading terminal

grindrod logo ITS set to clean up Walvis Bay bulk loading terminal with the state of the art Sibilia S10 30 KW suction plant. The powerful suction plant was handed over to Grindrod Handling in January 2009.

The bulk terminal handles amongst other products iron ore, lead concentrate, copper concentrate and manganese all very difficult products to handle and according to Mr Johnny Ferreira, pro active cleaning plays a huge role at Grindrod handling.

This was the first order for Grindrod handling and a second plant has been ordered and supplied to their Maputo coal terminal. This unit will be used in their tippler plant and transfer points to create a clean and safe environment.

This process allows for more effective preventative maintenance as opposed to the much more expensive corrective maintenance that plant's of this magnitude require on a continual basis.

Thanks to ITS and PROCHEM the seats and carpets in the SAA fleet will be extra clean and hygienic thanks to the Prochem Everest units supplied to SAA in January 2009.

With a one hundred metre delivery and recovery hose and the simultaneous use of two floor tools make this unit the largest carpet cleaner in SA by far. This allows SAA staff to ensure extra fast turn around times with their aircraft cleaning regime.

The award program is a new initiative launched by the United Kingdom's Department of Health and the NHS(National Health Service) Purchasing and Supply Agency to highlight and celebrate innovation and success within the field of Healthcare Acquired Infections related technology and technological developments.

This award directly recognises OspreyDeepclean's input over the last few years and its positive contribution within the NHS, where it has proven an invaluable tool to achieve and maintain a higher standard of cleanliness.

The positive impact of a clean healthcare environmental is being recognised in relation to preventing and reducing healthcare acquired infection cases. The implementation of OspreyDeepclean's steam technology and specialist training as a pivotal tool for infection control has significantly contributed to reducing the cases of HAI as recently highlighted by County Durham & Darlington NHS Foundation Trust, which itself went on to win the 2008 Hospital Cleaning Award, given as part of the annual Health Business Awards.

ITS win Gautrain cleaning contract!

We have been awarded the contract for the supply of the specialist cleaning equipment for the Gautrain. This is the largest and most prestigeous project currently in Gauteng. This contract will be utilising a combination of our two premium brands, Karcher and Numatic.

The Gautrain Rapid Rail Link is a state-of-the-art rapid rail network planned in Gauteng. The rail connection comprises of two links, namely a link between Tshwane (Pretoria) and Johannesburg and a link between OR Tambo International Airport and Sandton. Apart from the three anchor stations on these two links, seven other stations will be linked by approximately 80 kilometres of rail.

Osprey DeepClean

High temperature steam reaches the organic materials deep down the surface. The dead organisms, even in the innermost pores, can then be removed by using only water and micro fibre cloths, effectively restricting further germ growth. Rinsing water, residuals and wastes are all 100% biodegradable.

We all know that because of high temperatures steam will dissolve fats and oils and will kill bacteria (most die at 85°C). So its only a question of control and safety. Steam is safer in terms of use at higher temperature where the water particulate is smaller (dry steam) and cools more quickly, the saturated steam from a kettle can scald faster than dry steam.
